As a Brit, chips are absolutely tasty on any day of the week. And let's face it, we're always on the hunt for the best chips, whether they're slathered in gravy, come with fish or just on the side next to a burger.
Now one food blogger known for his exciting challenges and restaurant reviews decided to take a trip to Camden to see what all the fuss was about with the latest viral chip stall. Harrison Webb, who boasts 810,000 followers on TikTok, often explores the most exciting places to eat in London – and his latest experience is no different.
In a recent post, he told fans he decided to try the new viral Funky Chips. With 4.5 out of 5 star reviews on Google, you'd think Harrison would also leave a glowing review about the place.

He said: "Today we're in Camden trying the new viral Funky Chips. We've just spent £12.20 on chips, and we've got a small. Crispy onions on top, cheese, masala spice. There's a lot going on.
"The cheese pull is insane, the portion size is nuts. £12 for fries though, like you've got to be Bill Gates to be coming here. The queue is literally doubled in size, the crunchy onions are good, you had to pay extra.
"Melted cheese also extra, but honestly everyone else on top is actually quite good. In the middle though, we've just got chips and masala seasoning, and a bit of cheese."
Ending his video, Harrison admitted: "Mate it is pretty ridiculous, out of 5, I'd give it a 3.2."
According to the official website, Funky Chips does credit itself for being the "best chips in England". The business believes chips are "not just snacks but a palette for culinary experimentation".
It added: "Our journey began with the idea of creating loaded fries that had never been seen before. To achieve this, we sourced the best quality potatoes and crafted our own sauces with mouth-watering flavours.
"Since 2021, we have been serving our exceptional chips with passion in Camden Market, the heart of London."
There's a variety of different chips you can purchase, from the 'Masala Chips' to the 'Cheesy Chips', both starting from £8.40 for a small.
Since he shared his brutal verdict on TikTok, the post garnered 85,000 likes and plenty of comments.
One said: "12 for this *laughing emoji*... in Belgium it's 2 pounds only and better one." Another added: "Bang average."
While others reckon the stall is definitely worth it as one commented: "Best chips I think, well worth the money." Someone else chimed in: "That looks insane."
